Connect your store to Inboxy

How Shopify, Salla, Zid, WooCommerce and Easy Orders connect to Inboxy, what you need for each, which permissions they use and what each store can do.

Content last checked:

Connecting a store lets Inboxy see orders, customers and products, so the AI assistant can answer from your catalog, your team sees a customer’s orders beside the conversation, and order confirmation, order updates and cart reminders can run. Inboxy works without a store too; you can connect one any time.

Where to start

  • In Easy Setup, the store step asks “Which platform runs your store?” Pick your platform and its real install steps appear.
  • Later, open “E-Commerce” and press “Connect a store” (or “Connect another store”).
  • Only the account admin can connect the store.

Permissions: what Inboxy asks for, and where you can see it

Each platform shows its own approval screen listing the permissions before you accept, and each guide below says what Inboxy uses them for. After connecting, the store page in “E-Commerce” shows “Granted permissions”, in plain words:

  • “Read store details (name, currency)”
  • “Read orders”
  • “Update order status when the customer confirms or cancels”
  • “Read products, prices and stock”
  • “Read customers”
  • “Read abandoned carts”
  • “Create discount codes”
  • “Receive live events (new order, status change)”

Only Shopify and Salla report which permissions were granted. For Zid, WooCommerce and Easy Orders the platform does not report them, so Inboxy shows “Not confirmed” instead of claiming a permission it cannot prove. A permission that is requested but missing shows “Not granted — re-authorize”.

Inboxy only asks for what a feature uses. For example, on Shopify it deliberately does not ask to change your products or your customers.

After you connect

  • We are syncing products and orders now; the sync finishes in the background. You can finish setup.
  • The store page shows “Connection status”, the connection method, when the last event arrived and a “Sync” history. “Sync now” runs a sync on demand.
  • Set up the messages: order confirmation, order updates and cart reminders.

Disconnecting

Only managers can disconnect a store. Inboxy asks you to type the store domain to confirm, and disconnecting stops the following at once. You can reconnect later.

  • “What stops now”: “Receiving new orders and events”; “Order confirmation messages”; “Order update messages”; “Abandoned-cart reminders”; “Creating discount codes”; “Updating the AI assistant's product knowledge”.
  • “What is kept”: “Conversations with customers”; “Message templates approved by Meta”; “Your settings, restored when you reconnect”.
  • Disconnecting in Inboxy does not remove Inboxy from your platform’s own dashboard. Remove it there too if you want.
