Connect a Zid store

Connect your Zid store with a secure sign-in, what to expect on Zid’s approval screen, and what Inboxy can and cannot do on Zid today.

Content last checked:

Inboxy connects to Zid with a secure sign-in on Zid’s own page. You approve the permissions there, and you come back to Inboxy automatically.

What you need

  • On Zid: the store owner’s Zid account.
  • An Inboxy account manager. Only the account admin can connect the store.

Connect it

  1. In Easy Setup, on the store step, pick “Zid”. Later, open “E-Commerce” and press “Connect a store”.
  2. Press “Connect with Zid”. You go to Zid’s sign-in page.
  3. Sign in and press “Allow”. Zid lists the permissions before you approve.
  4. You come back here automatically. We check the link started from your account before saving.

Or install Inboxy from the Zid App Market with the same result.

Permissions

Zid lists the permissions on its approval screen and you accept them there. Inboxy uses them to read orders, customers and products, to receive live order events and to read abandoned carts. When your team or the AI assistant creates an order for a customer, Inboxy also needs Zid’s permission to create orders.

Zid does not report which permissions were granted, so the store page shows “Not confirmed” instead of claiming them. It does show whether Zid’s access has expired; if it has, the page says “Expired — re-authorization needed” and you press connect again to re-authorize.

What works on Zid

If the connection does not complete

  • The link with Zid did not complete. Press “Connect with Zid” again.
  • You cancelled the approval in Zid, so the store was not linked. Press “Connect with Zid” again.
  • The link has expired. Start the connection again.

Disconnecting

Disconnecting in Inboxy does not remove the Inboxy app from your Zid dashboard; remove it there too if you want. What stops and what is kept is listed in Connect your store. Still stuck? Contact support.
